THE HOLISTIC MASSAGE THERAPIST PROGRAM 2008

The following course breakdown is for the year 2008. As of January 2008 Namaste' Institute is excited to announce that the Foundational Massage Therapy Course of Study has been extended by 100 additional hours for a total of 600 hours. The additional hours have been added to the Science Department & Bodywork Department courses. This adjustment has lengthened the program from 9 months of study to 10 months of study and will give students additional time to explore and integrate the in-depth science curriculum and allow for additional supervised hands-on techniques. Tuition changes have also been adjusted: please refer to the admissions and tuition page for more details.

Classes marked with * are hours within the core curriculum hours.

Students completing the Holistic Massage Therapist Program of study will receive a diploma/certificate of completion for Holistic Massage Therapy 600 hours, which qualifies students for approval for State of Maine Licensure and exceeds the 500 hours of education required by the majority of states within the U.S. Students also have the opportunity to explore further into new territories of Holistic Health & Healing through the choice of one or more concentrations. These concentrations also provide the opportunity to fulfill the additional course hours for students whose intentions are to transfer to one of the minority of states that requires more than the National Standard of 500 hours. Please note that students do not have to choose a concentration beyond the Foundational 600-hour Holistic Massage Therapist Program of Study.

Students must possess a current Standard First Aid & CPR card at the time of graduation.
